Dr. Lowman Featured in Vanity Fair’s “Leaders in Healthcare”

“Your body is your temple and a gift from God.It should enhance your spirit, not drain it,” says Dr. Joye Lowman.

For Dr. Lowman, this belief compelled her to create Buckhead Urogynecology in 2019 – a woman-owned medical practice specifically created for women who were struggling with issues like urinary incontinence, prolapse, abnormaluterine bleeding, and painful intercourse.

With a team of specialists who have trained withthe country’s best surgical training programs, Dr. Lowman says that because she and her team are dual-board certified in Obstetrics/Gynecology and Female Pelvic Medicine/Reconstructive Surgery, women can get access tothe most advanced procedures available.

“We lead with a be seen, be heard, be cured mentality,” she says. “We’re kind, compassionate, and helpful, but our bottom line conviction is that none of that matters if the treatments don’t work!” Using minimally invasive therapies like Medtronic, Botox, and incision-less hysterectomies, the Buckhead Urogynecology team provides cutting-edge solutions for patients who have experienced failed procedures elsewhere. “I’m so inspired by the opportunity to help women,”she says. “I’m a perfectionist, and while that can be a terrible trait in life, it’s a wonderful trait for a physician and surgeon. Our patients always receive the best care. But I am also very critical, so we only offer technologies that have been proven through rigorous science to be effective and safe.”
