Dr. Joye K. Lowman, MD, MPH, FACOG, FPMRS
Dr. Lowman earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania and her Master of Public Health from Columbia University. She completed a three-year fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS) at Indiana University, the first accredited program and the leading surgical training program in the country. She is the only African American graduate to date. She was the first fellow in over 5 years to present research at the largest national meetings for FPMRS in 2007 and 2008 (the American Urogynecologic Society and the Society of Gynecologic Surgeons) and her presentations won awards for outstanding research at each of those meetings.
